UZBEKISTAN, October 13 - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Presidents hold a meeting on the sidelines of the CIS Summit
On October 14, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as part of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Current issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation and deepening regional partnerships in Central Asia were discussed.
The Presidents noted the need for practical implementation of agreements at the highest level, primarily on increasing trade turnover and implementing priority investment projects in industry, energy, transport, infrastructure, and agriculture.
Issues of interaction within regional structures, including the SCO and the CIS, were also discussed.
